Parke Bank has donated $5,000 to the American Red Cross to specifically aid in the relief and recovery efforts of those impacted by Hurricane Harvey in Texas. This devastating storm that made landfall on Saturday, August 26 has greatly impacted the state and its residents in numerous ways. Harvey is the first category 4 hurricane to hit the US in over a decade and it is the first hurricane to since Carla hit Texas since 1961.
“This storm has left thousands seeking shelter and has caused unprecedented damage, injury and even death. Flood waters have destroyed homes, streets and businesses and as a result many people have been left in despair.
