Job Position:

Credit Analyst II

Under the supervision of the Chief Credit Officer, the Credit Analyst will provide technical support to all lending personnel by performing financial analyses of existing and prospective loan customers. The Analyst’s primary duty will be to prepare financial statement spread sheets, cash flow schedules and written qualitative and quantitative analysis on each loan relationship being reviewed. Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as, all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

Job Skills Required:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or business related concentration is preferred.
  • Five years of experience in financial statement analysis in a commercial banking environment.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial loan transactions and documentation with emphasis on real estate lending.
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge lending with emphasis on CRE, C& I, residential mortgage and consumer lending.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of business and personal financial statements, tax returns and cash flow modeling.
  • Excellent math, credit analysis and problem solving skills; ability to analyze and interpret credit quality.
  • PC proficient including Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel and Word; working knowledge of loan accounting and administration operating systems.
  • Proficient at using manual or automated spread sheet software.
  • Abrigo (formerly Sageworks) Analyst preferred.
  • Familiarity with credit policies and regulatory guidelines for commercial and consumer loan transactions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Experience in preparing credit approval recommendations.

Job Duties:

  • Analyze financial information and credit reports of businesses and individuals to assist in the general assessment of credit risk inherent in loan transactions.
  • Conduct review of balance sheet, profit and loss statements, cash flows, financial projections, rent rolls and other financial data submitted in support of commercial loan, real estate loan, and line of credit transactions.
  • Spread financial statements and prepare cash flow schedules using manual or automated spread sheet software; study and evaluate the information and prepare written analysis reports for use by the Lender in preparing recommendations.
  • Assess and evaluate loan repayment capabilities.
  • Perform analysis and evaluation of loan collateral coverage.
  • Input receipt of borrower and guarantor financial statements and tax returns into the Banks operating system.
  • Attend and participate in loan committee and other asset quality meetings as required.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Chief Credit Officer as it relates to the Credit Risk Management Department function.
