Job Title:  Commercial Loan Officer


 Job Summary:

 The Loan Officer will conduct outside sale calls and business development efforts to create a new commercial loan portfolio. This individual will be responsible to gather, develop, close, and continually increase loan and deposit business for Parke Bank. This person will process and service a wide variety of secured and unsecured business loans and be required to service the portfolio too. The Loan Officer will ensure that applicable lending policies and procedures are followed as well as the compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

  • Knowledge of mortgage loan processing, procedures and documentation related to commercial loans.
  • Financial understanding of balance sheet, income statement and cash flow analysis.
  • Outstanding negotiation, oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of CRE, C&I, Retail and SBA Lending.
  • Strong management skills with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience and direct responsibility for managing a commercial loan portfolio.
  • Skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation, mainframe computer system, word processing, spreadsheet, and specialty software programs.
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance accounting, economics, business administration or business-related concentration will be a plus.



Job Duties:

  • Meet or exceed new commercial and business loan goals in the amount determined by management per year.
  • Manages and maintains the assigned loan portfolio.
  • Develop and support loan customers.
  • Tracks customer payment profile.
  • Attend weekly loan meetings.
  • Obtain annual financial statements and tax returns from customers.
  • Perform annual reviews of loan customers.
  • Ensure asset quality and profitability to bank.
  • Conduct client meetings, due diligence, and site visits for new credit requests.
  • Properly underwrite Loan request for presentation to both the MLC or DLC meetings.
  • Prepare customers’ letters, file memos, checklists, and other related loan documents.
  • Properly close and document loans to include follow up with closing items if applicable.
  • Properly manage and service current clients and assigned loan portfolio.
  • Assists other lenders and staff or branch members with joint appointments, new client lunch/dinner appointments, loan presentations, closings, portfolio servicing needs as well as operational and or loan documentation issues.
  • Promote marketing of commercial loans and deposits services provided by Parke Bank.
  • Maintain BSA compliance.
  • Periodically reports to the Board of Directors and sub committees of the Board.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by Management as related to the Bank and its functions.
