 Job Summary:

The Assistant Branch Manager is required to have prior experience in retail banking operations and functions. Be responsible for overall accountability of the branch effectively achieving profit, growth, and customer service objectives within Bank policy guidelines.   The Assistant Branch Manager provides support to the staff in assisting the Branch Manager, ensuring outstanding customer service, transaction and operational accuracy, proficient knowledge in bank products and services and motivating a well-developed team to support all goals and initiatives.

 

Skills/Competencies:

  • Effectively supervise branch staff.
  • Oversee branch regarding compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Ability to coach and mentor the team.
  • Ability to delegate effectively.
  • Experience in opening and closing of branch in compliance with security policy.
  • Experience with Department scheduling.
  • Experience in Microsoft computer programs required.
  • Substantial experience in the credit/lending function.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Develops business by establishing and maintaining sound relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Must be familiar with all teller duties providing assistance and instruction as needed or required.
  • Develops and motivate staff to meet required performance levels.  Counsel and guide team in the exercise of their assigned accountabilities.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to participate in employment actions, reviews, and personnel issues.
  • Take responsibility for staff training and career development.
  • Participates in local community affairs and supports local activities.
  • Prepares various operating reports as directed.
  • Required to be a Notary.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by Management as related to the Bank and its functions.
